I have written a book about ocean cargo insurance titled: Marine Cargo Insurance: Adjusting, Claims Administration, History published by Witherby Publication. It is the first book about adjusting ocean cargo insurance claims written in the United States and the first by a company marine cargo adjuster, and the first book about insurance claims business process using technology, strategic alliance and marine insurance history in the United States.

Brief Summary

By combining the description of the practice with the principles and history on which the practice is based, this book provides a sound knowledge of the way the business is conducted.

It is an invaluable guide in claims handling for practitioners as well as for buyers and students of insurance, not only in the United States but also globally by providing answers to questions concerning the process and resolution of claims. In addition, there are potential lessons to be learned from the rich history mentioned in the book that can be adapted by any enterprising entity anywhere in the world. It is also an excellent guide to the usage of claims data for loss prevention.

The author advocates improvement of claims business processes, administration, and collaboration with business partners for better claims service and cost.
